Ticket demand, anticipation grows as LeBron nears Kareem

Even if James scores at his present pace against the Thunder on Tuesday, he will fall short of the record by the time the game finishes.

Because of Abdul-Hall Jabbar’s of Fame career, tickets to Thursday’s Lakers game against the Milwaukee Bucks are more expensive than usual. In total, that game cost $242,000 (including fees). However, past trends imply that ticket costs will eventually fall, as industry experts have long predicted.

Though, don’t misunderstand. Tickets for the top seats are still somewhat pricey.

According to TickPick’s brand manager, “we did sell a pair of tickets, courtside seats, for $24,000 a ticket, $48,000 altogether,” for Thursday’s game. It seems like the betting public is banking on the narrative that he does it against Kareem’s old club, but he could easily score 36 points on Tuesday, causing a full market collapse for Thursday’s game.
