Larson Comes Up Big in Texas With 2nd NASCAR All-Star Win

It’s a big-time for Kyle Larson as he won his 2nd NASCAR All-Star and got $1 million in winnings. It wasn’t an easy one as he had to face Brad Keselowski to get that title. Here are the highlights:

  • Larson was up against a hard-charging Keselowski in the final 10-lap shootout in Texas. He had a three-wide slippery pass to win for Hendrick Motorsports for the 2nd consecutive time.
  • Not to mention, he also had to face Chase Elliott (former All-Star winner and reigning cup champion). While Elliott did have a lead at the beginning of the final segment, it didn’t last too long.
  • Larson pushed his teammate and was able to position himself to stay ahead and really make an impact on the last laps.
  • He said that the last restart worked exactly how he wanted and kept Elliott from getting momentum.
  • While Keselowski probably thought Larson was tailing him, but Larson used the slickness to his advantage and took the lead.
  • Keselowski said that just being able to run second to Hendrick cars is an accomplishment. He said “they’re just stupid fast” and hard to catch because of their crazy speed. He mentioned how he had Larson on Turn 4 but it just wasn’t enough.
  • Larson was able to get to the outside and find a groove to eventually get the win.
