Kudus scores 2, Ghana beats South Korea 3-2 at World Cup
According to Mohammed Kudus, there wasn’t much of a difference between Ghana’s performance in its second game against South Korea and its performance in its first World Cup match against Portugal.
except, of course, for the outcome.
On Monday, Ghana won 3-2 to avoid elimination. Kudus scored twice, including the decisive goal after the South Koreans had tied the game in the second half.
The Black Stars scored two goals against South Korea to improve their chances of moving on to the next round in Qatar following their disappointing 3-2 opening loss to Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal.
“I believe that the match versus Portugal was among the best you can have. The team as a whole displayed good enthusiasm and dedication. As a result, Kudus stated, “we tackled this game the same manner. “We have the same mindset throughout every game, so no matter who we face, we are moving in the same direction with the same enthusiasm.”
Cho Gue-sung tied the score at 2-2 early in the second half after South Korea had been behind 2-0. His goals were around three minutes apart.
However, Kudus gave the Black Stars the lead back in the 68th minute with a low left-footed strike that flew past goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu. Cho’s shot was saved by Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi in stoppage time with a flying save.
