The Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to beat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 on Wednesday night, completing a three-game sweep. Justin Turner and AJ Pollock drove home the tying and go-ahead runs through the same infield hole in the eighth inning.

After the San Francisco Giants defeated 5-2 to Milwaukee, the Dodgers took sole ownership of the NL West lead. Since April 25, Los Angeles had not been in first place.

Max Scherzer earned a 2-0 lead for the Dodgers early in the game, and he was dominating the NL East-leading Braves until he left after 76 pitches. In six innings, the right-hander struck out nine batters while walking none.

In the eighth inning, Dansby Swanson blasted a tiebreaking solo home run, his 26th, to give Atlanta a 3-2 edge.

Turner’s single in the hole between third and shortstop tied the game at three, scoring Trea Turner, who had doubled and advanced to third on Max Muncy’s groundout.

With two outs, Corey Seager drew a walk against Chris Martin (2-4), putting Justin Turner on second base. Pollock hit through the same hole as Justin Turner, who scored to put the game out of reach at 4-3.
